Ultimate Frisbee, also known simply as 'Ultimate', is a non-contact team sport typically played on a soccer field. Each team attempts to score points by throwing a disc to a player in the endzone. It is a fast-paced game that balances both physical activity and working with your teammates on the field.
Our group was founded around 2016 by a number of folks in the Hickory, North Carolina, region, who valued having Ultimate where we live. Through casual pickup play, community events, and occasional tournaments, we're a group that has strived to advance and grow the sport of Ultimate. Players of all ages, genders, and fitness levels are welcome to come out and play. Some of us value the opportunity to play in a team sport, others value the exercise, and some simply enjoy playing Ultimate. Regardless of your reason for playing, we always strive to play with mutual respect, a desire to learn and better our game, and welcome new players.
We also occasionally play in a few regional tournaments as the Hickory Switch.

We play on Sunday afternoons at the Hickory YMCA (701 1st St NW, Hickory, NC 28601) and on Tuesday evenings at Civitan Park (460 17th Ave NE, Hickory, NC 28601).
This is central to several metro areas in and near Catawba County including Morganton, Lincolnton, Conover, Newton, Lenoir, and Gastonia.
Where and when we play is greatly influenced by the season, field conditions, and other factors.
